2026 Releases
Two new Star Wars films are set for 2026: The Mandalorian & Grogu on May 22, 2026 — the franchise's first theatrical release in seven years since The Rise of Skywalker — and a second film on December 18, 2026.
TV and Animation
The only live-action Star Wars series debuting on Disney+ in 2026 is Ahsoka season two. A standalone animated series, The Ninth Jedi, is also set for release in 2026.
Future Films
Star Wars: Starfighter, directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Gosling, is set for May 28, 2027. Separately, Simon Kinberg is producing his own new Star Wars trilogy with Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy, set after The Rise of Skywalker with an entirely new cast.
